Lateral – Toward the side
Ipsilateral – When located on the same side
Contralateral – When located on the opposite side
Intermediate – Between Medial and Lateral
Proximal – Closer to the trunk
Distal – Further from the trunk
Superficial – Toward the surface
Deep – Further from the surface
