About the WSH Tech Awards (Page 3)

  • Recognizes businesses prioritizing safety through innovative technologies.

  • Entry Criteria:

    • No fatal or major work-related injuries at any worksites during the qualifying period.

    • No breaches in safety legislation or incurred fines.

    • Technology implemented must cater to at least one specified WSH risk.

Entry Criteria (Page 3 & 4)

  1. No work-related fatal/major injuries.

  2. No breaches in workplace safety and health regulations.

  3. Implemented technology must belong to specified categories:

    • Robotics or drone-based solutions

    • Video analytics

    • Wearables

    • Sensors

    • WSH management applications

  4. Must have been operational for at least six months with no reported accidents.

  5. Must have been procured from third-party providers.

  6. Applicants should be SMEs (30% local ownership, <200 employees or <$100M turnover).

  7. At least bizSAFE Level 3 certification is required.

  8. Previous winners of the same technology in past awards are not eligible.

  9. Subscription to MOM’s WSH alert service required.

Evaluation (Page 5)

  • Supporting documents and incident reports will be verified by the WSH Council.

  • Shortlisted applicants to present their WSH technology in an interview.

Notes for Applicants (Page 5)

  • Technology assessed on:

    • Innovativeness

    • Adoption scale

    • WSH improvements post-implementation

Technology Categories (Page 5 & 6)

  • Robotics/Drones: Automated guided vehicles, robotic arms, collaborative robots, inspections.

  • Video Analytics: Hazard detection, fatigue monitoring, sensors.

  • Wearables: Health trackers, fatigue devices, exoskeletons, AR helmets.

  • Sensors: Hazard detection, worker location tools.

  • Vehicular Safety Technologies: Advanced driver assistance systems, blind spot cameras.

  • WSH Management Applications: Risk assessment tools, virtual reality safety training.

  • Heat Stress Prevention: Cooling vests and machines.

Disqualification (Page 7)

  • Possible disqualifications include:

    • Accidents resulting in fatality or major injury before results announcement.

    • Inaccurate or misleading supporting documents.

    • Withdrawal or amending WSH incident reports during application.

Application Process (Page 8)

  • Check eligibility, prepare application, submit details on OneDrive.

  • Deadline for Document Submission: April 1, 2025.

  • Awards Ceremony: September 2025 (exact date TBA).

Part 1: Company’s Details (Page 9)

  • Required information includes:

    • Company name, UEN, address, SSIC code, industry classification.

    • Confirmation of SME status.

Part 2: WSH Statistics (Page 11)

  • Provide details on any work-related accidents, fines, or investigations during the qualifying period.

  • Include reported injuries under the UEN.

Part 3: Evidence-Based Assessment (Page 13)

  • Applicants must submit a write-up regarding:

    1. Description of the implemented WSH technology.

    2. Identified WSH issue addressed.

    3. Impact of technology on said issue.

    4. Scale of implementation (e.g., number of units).

    5. Financial analysis per worker.

    6. Implementation timeline.

    7. Injury statistics pre-and post-implementation.

bizSAFE Enterprise (Page 14)

  • Submit the bizSAFE certificate number with the application.

  • Status must remain valid throughout the awards process.

Terms and Conditions (Page 15)

  • All applications must be submitted via OneDrive, late submissions will be rejected.

  • WSH Council’s decisions regarding applications and awards are final.

  • Award recipients may be featured in media promotions.
