4.6 – Lexington and Concord: The First Shots

April 1775: British troops marched to seize weapons at Concord.

At Lexington, colonists (minutemen) met them—“shot heard ’round the world” fired.

At Concord, colonists pushed British troops back to Boston.

These battles marked the official start of the American Revolutionary War.
