the neigborhood found out abt TSU letters to his mom and found his letters amusing
the neighbor doesnt understand and kinda make fun of him and believed his mother never recieved the letters
But TSU still believed that his Mom does received
There is one who understand and that is Winyu the school teacher
Winyu say its a good outlet for his feelings eps abt stuff that this generation dont understand
Winyu understand that the Chinese take their responsibilities toward their parents and why he understand TSu writing and doesnt seem strange to him
TSU aksed back how thai feels abt their parents
Winyu say the same but they dont show their feelings in the same way. Thai parents let their son depends on them, The chinese and farang dont understand why the thai do that but the thai see dependence as a form of love. The chinese raise their son in the opposite way the one that one day must provide for them.
TSu ask does he think chinese are too hard on their children
Winyu say he dont think so but other thais might, and that he agreed with the chinese envouraging independence and that the parents wont be alive forever
TSU thinks Winyu is unusual
Winyu say Thais and Chinese will eventually intermarry
he also feel like TSu beleief of what thai men is unfair
He say that we Peaceful Thais have not been invaded by bombs or armies but they are invaded by progress
so far they havent been handling it so good but its changing, His generation is diff from his father in one important way : they are preparing themselves to deal with the world as it is and not as they think what it ought to be
and Winyu doesnt to get along with TSU with the cost of disrespect for himself or for MC sake
AFter hearing that TSU told him to leave his daughter and go away and that he wont have to get along with him for anybody sake
Winyu said he and TSU could come to respect eachother
TSU say Winyu dont even like Chinese
Winyu say he likes everyone and even chinese. what he dun like is the fact that TSU came to his country and got rich in his country and tell him that he cant marry his daughter. He personally likes TSU but doesnt like his attitude toward his place in the thai society
He still pans to marry MC and will talk abt himself to TSU
Winyu cares abt his work and want to see the conutry progress but not in a rush, he care for peace and he tell his student to have the moral principle of a farang, the diligence of a chinese and the heart of thai
“Heart of Thai“ means the love of peace, contentment with little concern for others and a sense of moderation. the new gen is aggressive but we must see that the old thai values are not lost
TSu say he seeen the agressiveness from those young thai boy running to bars making lewd comments blah blah
Winyu says thats a minor problem
TSU say he hasnt met anyone like Winyu, he is polite but also argumentative
Winyu say the chinese are slowly getting absorb in thai society but TSU say no one is gonna absorb him
Then Winyu ask would he rather see ppl marrying or fighting
TSU say children nowaday wants so many things and during his time as a child he dun rmb having such needs
When children get into trouble now aday its only 2 option
their parents meddle too much
their parents dun teach them enough
When Winyu left, MC and TSU talked
MC will marry Winyu
she told her dad its better to get along then like in America where they hate other races and resort to shooting
TSU then ask whether she gonna risk marrying Winyu
She reply what marriage is not a risk and take CK and BL wedding as an example
and then day if they not happy they will think again which mean divorce
AB and TSU talk
TSU told AB that MC gonna get marry
He not happy she marrying a thai
AB told him to move on with the world
TSU say if they marry he will give them nth
Well AB say MC lucky she has her auntie cz her auntie
He say there is smth worse than being lonely, its is being lonley and humiliated
