Ecosystem: a community of organisms and their abiotic environment

Abiotic Factor: non-living parts of an environment

Biosphere: all of the ecosystems on Earth make this up

Community: a group of various species that live in the same habitat and interact

Biotic Factor: living parts of an environment

Population: a group of organisms of the same species that live and breed together

Food Chain: a diagram that shows how energy moves from organism to another

Herbivore: an organism that only eats producers

Producer: an organism that can produce its own food internally

Omnivore: an organism that eats both plants and other animals

Food Web: a complex diagram that shows all of the food chains in an environment

Consumer: an organism that eats other organisms for energy

Decomposer: an organism that breaks down organic matter from dead organisms
