• cell body:has a neuclus with genetic material

• dendrites: carry nerve impulses from neibouring neurons to the cell body

• axon: carries impulses away from the cell

• myelin sheath: protects axon

• nodes of ranvier: gaps in the myelin sheath to speed up transmittion of impulses

• terminal button: communicates with the next next nueron across the synapse

• electric transmition: a resting neuron is negativly charged when activated by a stimulus its positivly charged causing action potenial to occurs creating an electrical impulse.
