*Geographic questions:  These multiple choice questions may require you to create a mental map - for example:

Which city is closest to Mecca? a. Damascus  b. Beijing c. Moscow   d. Buenos Aires

Others may have a section of a map, such as Central America, lettered from A-E, and you will need to identify the correct letter indicated by the prompt.

Connections Terms & Topics (also useful for other test sections): For this massive term list, consider who/what they are AND why they are important.  It may be helpful to make handwritten flashcards. This way you can practice organizing terms into sets, based on different patterns. For example, which terms show power designations? Which terms are religious sects? Resist the temptation to just “Google” terms.  You need to know them in the context of the course & what we have been learning!  For a similar reason, a "study guide" prepared by your friend may not be helpful if it uses definitions that they "googled" or definitions that don't make sense to you.
