Persuasion: Ethos and Logos

Persuasion Overview

Persuasion, possibly innate or learned, aims to influence actions and beliefs, often leading audiences to take actions they might not normally consider.

Ethos

Ethos is the appeal to ethics or the speaker's character, emphasizing believability and credibility. A speaker with a questionable character will be seen as untrustworthy.

Logos

Logos is the appeal to logic or reason, focusing on how arguments are structured, how data is organized, and how testimonies support claims.
