Glands and Secretion Types
Objectives
- Review of the lecture objectives.
Epithelial Tissue and Glands
- Epithelial tissue, specifically simple cuboidal and stratified columnar, form glands.
- Glands produce a product and are of two types:
- Exocrine: External secretion.
- Endocrine: Internal secretion.
Exocrine Glands
- Secrete a product into a duct that leads to the body's surface.
