Use with the verbs

When conjugating the subjunctivo (the subjunctive verb)

• the ending switch ——→ so the -ar ending now end with e & the -er/-ir verbs end with a now

• Example: cantar ———→ cante, cantes, cante, cantemos, canten

• Example: pedir ————→ pida, pidas, pida, pidamos, pidan

• If the endings are -car, -gar, -zar the endings change to que, gue, ce for all forms whether 1st, 2nd or 3rd person

Subjunctivo Verbo Irregular

• salir ——→ salga

• tener ——→ tengo

• venir ——→ venga

• hacer ——→ haga

• ir ——→ vaya

• haber ——→ haya

• buscar ——→ busque

• organizar ——→ organice

• jugar ——→ jugue

• investigar ——→ investigue

• criticar ——→ critique

• incluir ——→ incluya

• proteger ——→ proteja

Ojalá

Formula: ojalá + que + subjeto + subjunctivo + end of sentence

Examples:

• Ojalá que tú hables con tú mamá ——→ I hope you talk to your mom

• Ojalá que yo nade en la piscina ——→ I wish I could swim in the pool

Deseo

Only use with querer (to want), desear (to wish) or esperar (to hope)

Formula: Subjeto + verbo en presente (querer/ desear/ esperar) + que + subjeto + subjunctivo

Examples:

• Sr. Josemaria espera que Sr Elise ayude a las estudiantes

Recomendacíon

Use with verbs: pedir, recomendar, sugerir, prohibir, mandar, exigir, rogar, dejar, aconsejar, insístir

Formula: Sujeto + verbo en presente (has to be verbo recomendacíon) + que sujeto + subjunctivo + ending of sentence

Examples:

• Alistair recomienda que Morgan haga su tarea a tiempo
