Sampling methods

Random=put everyone in hat and randomly pick. Everyone has the same chance of being selected.

Opportunity sample=uses anyone who’s available and willing.

Stratified= get target population and split into sub groups. Pick randomly from these sub groups from a hat but each sub group must be represented proportionately.

Systematic=every nth person is selected after getting a list of whole target population

Volunteer=participants selecting themselves.
