• Need to study the properties of sister chromatids

• Telomeres

  • functions of telomeres

    • protect ends of chromosomes from degradation and also prevent fusion of chromosomes with other chromosomes

• Translation Initiation Complex/Opreons   

  • CAP-cAMP transcription factor function

  • What is the function of the TIC?

Signal Transduction (this shit is MAD hard)

• Specific ligand binding to a cell receptor starts a signal transduction pathway that ends with an activated TF having an altered configuration.

  Once activated, TF’s can interact with other TFs in the cell to turn on a specific gene. Only when all the necessary TFs are activated will the gene be expressed.
