Preparation Strategies
Identification of Exam Objects:
- Must be able to fully identify the "Exam Objects" including:
- Artist/architect (if known)
- Title/name/subject of object
- Original place of production
- For three objects, be prepared to know the specific date as indicated by underlined dates.Summarization of Learned Material:
- Explain the materials and techniques used in creating the object.
- Discuss the object's general size.
- Describe the subject matter, patron, context, meaning, and function of the object.
- Connect the object to other objects and themes discussed in the course.

Exam Format
The exam will consist of:
- Sixty-six multiple-choice questions (1.516 points each) divided into:
1. Comparisons
- 11 pairs of slides with questions related to identification, relation to one another, and understanding of broader themes (subject matter, materials, techniques, patronage, context, and meaning).
2. Architectural Orders
- Identification of the three major Greek architectural orders:

- Triglyph
- Additional challenge (5 extra points): Name, location, and date of one studied building featuring all three architectural orders.
