flamborough head (n) —— spurn point (s)

flamborough head made of chalk

has many bays like selwicks

made of chalk overlayed with boulder clay

hydraulic action and abrasion have created stacks, cliffs, arches and wavecut platforms

deposition landforms are small beaches made of eroded cliff material and eroded boulder clay

spurn point is a coastal spit formed by the deposition of sediment from up the coast

wind and waves cause the hooked end

sand dunes formed from wind blowing material up the beach which stabilise the entire length of the spit

salt marshes have formed behind the spit due to silt and mud deposition from the Humber
