What Were The Causes Of The Seven Years War-

Mercantilism- An economic system that increases wealth by increasing exports and by limiting imports through taxes. 


By 1754, tensions among the French, the British and first nations living in North America had been building for more than a decade. Around the time when the Join or Die was published. 


Was The British Victory Inevitable-

Guerilla warfare- a type of fighting using small groups of soldiers to carry out surprise attacks against an opponent.


Stronghold- a fortified place, or fortress, that is difficult to attack.


Britain and France had different strategies when fighting the seven years war.France focused its attention on fighting in Europe which limited the number of troops it sent to defend its economic interests in North America.The trade alliance that the Ojibwe had with the French helped them obtain European goods. Despite his victory, wolfe was killed on the battlefield in the battle of the plains of abraham, along with french general montcalm.  


How Did The Seven Years War Impact First Nations-

Wampum- Beads made of shells, used as currency or as a method of recording messages. 


Proclamation- An official announcement, statement, or declaration. 


Trade between First Nations and the French came to an end after the war. The British limited First Nations’ access to European goods such as weapons, tools and clothing. 

The First Nations started to view the movement of the British soldiers, officials and settlers into their territories as a threat to their way of life. In North America, Britain and France fought each other with the help of Indigenous allies. Indigenous peoples could keep those lands unless they wanted to sell them to the King. 


How Did The Seven Years War Impact The French-


Assimilate-to bring into conformity or adapt to the customs and attitude of a group or to change/force change someone's curtual to yours.


Treaty of Paris the French surrendered and the land became the british. The treaty of paris ended the war but originally it was the british that won the war. The treaty of paris is what ended the seven year wars.
