Christians living among non christians

-Christians are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a peculiar people of God and a holy nation. They are God’s own people who have been called form darkness into His marvelous light. Without their efforts, God made them His children.

-Christians have replaced the Jews. The Jews lost their privileges owing to their unfaithfulness to God and they rejected Jesus as the Son of God.

-Christians should not conform to the standard of conduct in the society. They should abstain i.e. keep away from the passions of the flesh and maintain good conduct before unbelievers so that when Non-Christians speak against them as wrong doers, their good works will speak for them and glorify God on the judgement day.

-They are to submit to every human institution, be it to the Emperor or the Governor appointed to punish offenders.

-By doing right, they put to shame the ignorance of the foolish men.

-They should live as free men and should not use their freedom as a pretext for evil.

-They should honour all men, love the brotherhood, fear God and honour the King.

-Servants should be subject to their masters, the King, gentle or overbearing.

-To win God’s approval, endure pain while suffering unjustly. Do not retaliate when beaten for wrong doing.

-They should follow (imitate) the example of Jesus. He was sinless, innocent, when he suffered he did not threaten His persecutors. He trusted God to give the right judgment.

-Jesus is our good shepherd, guardian of our souls and has shown those straying like sheep the way to salvation
