Many students nation wide including UIUC struggle to transition into college life. Factors such as academics, environmental, and social changes can become difficult barriers for freshman to overcome. Students like Azul Rios and Karla Romero give insight on how truly difficult the adjustment period was. Face paced classes, homesickness, and unfamiliar environments lead to these students struggling with academics and stress. Although students do adjust over time with help of campus resources to guide them or support from their friends.
