N'nos Symsin! [The Symbols] & The Writing System
Efven”thal is a Featural Constructed Writing System. Basically, means that there are symbols [or symsin] that make up the alphabet within the Effendal language. A recommendation is not to view the symbols as letters, but as sounds. Sounds that a letter would make [these are called phonemes].
Within Efven”thal there are 27 symsin. Efven”thal also is an Ideographic language. Meaning, each symbol has its own significance, such as serving as an omen, conveying a message, or bringing good luck, etc. They are often used in divination for clarity, information, and answers.
