Kingdom Wealth Creation

Foreword By Muriithi Wanjau

  • God has given Moses a unique voice to speak into areas that He has taught him.
  • Straight Forward Financial Growth (SFFG) is a practical and systematic tool for financial growth.

Introduction

  • The book is premised on five great ideas that will help anyone make progress financially:
    • Acquire Financial Knowledge – BELIEVE
    • Work Hard and Smart – WORK
    • Manage Your Money – MANAGE
    • Make Wise Investments – INVEST
    • Live Generously – GIVE
  • It’s not the volume of knowledge you have that makes you successful, but what you act on.
  • James 1:22: But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

1 Essentials of Financial Growth

  • Poverty dehumanizes people and gets them to lose their dignity and sense of worth.
  • People have suffered untold damage under the counterfeit prosperity message which essentially is designed to benefit those that teach it at the expense of their listeners and followers.
  • Trevor Waldock said that the root word for prosperity actually means “toward hope.”
  • Genesis 26:12-13: Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous.
  • The New York Stock Exchange market’s current daily trade value is 975975 billion USD as of May, 2018.
  • Uganda’s annual national budget stands at 7.67.6 billion USD (Bank of Uganda State of the nation report, May 2018).
  • The money traded on the New York Stock Exchange in one day can fund the Uganda Government for 128128 years!
  • There are only three moral, ethical and legal mechanisms by which wealth can be acquired:
    • You inherit it.
    • You marry into it.
    • You work for it.
  • There are only three stages at the core of wealth creation:
    • Get it
    • Keep it
    • Grow it
  • Renewing your mind by constantly acquiring knowledge about wealth, and living generously, help you become more successful at wealth creation.

2 Recalibrating Your Financial Thermostat

  • There is a difference between a thermostat and a thermometer. Whereas the thermometer will tell you the temperature in a place, the thermostat determines it.
  • We all have a financial thermostat with a set financial temperature. Everyone has a certain amount of money their “system” or mind can contain.
  • Anytime you get a windfall or a very good deal and receive more money than the set temperature, you start spending and giving it away like crazy, because now your “system” is very uncomfortable with the money you have received.
  • Having a billionaire mind is much more valuable than having the money itself.
  • Your first and most important task once you get on the journey of financial prosperity is to raise the temperature on your thermostat!
  • Your mind is the incubation place of every success or failure you'll ever experience in life.
  • There are three kinds of education:
    • Basic Education
    • Specialized Education
    • Financial Education
  • Financial education is missing in schools and colleges.
  • Read books, listen to audios, watch videos, attend seminars, do whatever it takes to alter your blueprint.
  • If you want to fly with the eagles, you can't keep in the chicken house. Your net worth will be influenced by your network.
  • Hang out with people who make you feel important.
  • Get into your calendar appointments with bigger people at least once every two weeks.
  • One morning in 2010, Moses Mukisa got up and really wanted to swim. He drove out and went to one of the nearby "non-star" hotels in Ntinda, here in Kampala, that has a swimming pool, however eveything was not working.
  • Subject yourself to wealthy environments. Go to places that will speak to the wealthy you, not the poor you.
  • Go on holiday and see how people live in other places. Exposure will go a long way in helping your mind beat the poverty trap.
  • Sometimes situations or things are going to speak to you, pointing out your poverty. Don't take it lying down. Fight back with your wealth mind-set.
  • 3 John 2: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

3 Why Wealth Creation Is a Kingdom Issue

  • 1 Timothy 6:9-10: But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
  • Money is not the root of all evil. It’s the love of money which is, and you don’t have to have a lot of money to love it. You can be broke and still have an unhealthy love for money.
  • Money does not change people; it simply reveals who they were all along.
  • 2 Corinthians 8:9: For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
  • Jesus became man so we could inherit divinity. He became sin so we could be made the righteousness of God. His body was broken, so ours could be mended. He became poor so we could become rich.
  • I’ve seen people lose dignity and identity because of poverty. I am convinced that poverty is not part of God's plan for humanity.
  • The things that are godly, when pursued, lead to wealth, and the opposite leads to want.
  • The blessing of God – that is, eternal life– makes one rich, not poor.
  • The writer of Ecclesiastes states that money answers all things.
  • Having financial resources is what enables you to turn your concern into compassion.
  • Deuteronomy 8:18: “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
  • God gives us ideas, creativity, connections, opportunities and every favorable thing to enable us engage the economic systems set in place so that we become wealthy.
  • God gives them power to get wealth for a specific purpose: to establish His covenant which He swore to their fathers as it was that day.
  • Galatians 3:7-9: Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.
  • Romans 4:13: For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
  • Luke 4:18-19:
