  • mirëmingjes - good morning (singular)

Introducing yourself - what is your name?

  • kush je ti? - who are you (forma/singular - less commonly used)

  • kush jeni ju? - who are you (formal/plural - lesss commonly used)

  • si quesh ti? - what is your name/how are you called (informal singular)

  • si quheni ju? what is your name/how are you called (informal plural)

  • jam Cate - I am Cate

  • unë jam Cate - can drop unë - “jam Cate” - each personal pronoun has it’s own version of the verb (jam/ je/jeni/janë) which implies the pronoun without needing it

  • si e ke emri - literal - what is your name - considered more direct/abrupt/less polite

  • nga je ti? - where are you from (singular)

  • nga jeni ju? - where are you from (plural/polite)

  • jam nga Afrika e Jugut - I am from South Africa (country)

  • jam Jug Afrikana - I am South African (feminine)

  • jam Jug Afrikan - I am South African (masculine)

  • çfare profesioni ke? - what is your profession? (singluar)

  • çfare profesioni keni? - what is your profession (plural/polite)

  • nuk kam famijë - I do not have children

  • sa fëmijë ke? - how many children do you have? (singular)
