General Housekeeping and Exam Information
- Access Canvas: All students are required to access Canvas for course materials and assignments.
- Responses: When submitting responses, ensure full names are included, writing is legible, clear, and respectful, and responses are placed in the correct submission bucket.
Exam Details
- Bubble Sheet: Students must use a bubble sheet for responses. Ensure name, ID#, and section are filled out correctly.
- Materials: Only a pencil is allowed for the exam.
- Questions: The exam consists of multiple-choice questions. Students are explicitly instructed NOT to write on the exam paper.
- Time Limit: Students will have minutes to complete the exam.

Historical Periods of Ancient Greece
Helladic Period ( BCE)
- Minoan Civilization: Located on the island of Crete.
- Mycenaean Civilization: Located on mainland Greece.
- Collapse/Disruption: The decline of these civilizations coincided with broader declines observed across the Near East and Egypt.
Hellenic Period ( BCE)
- Dark Age ( BCE): A period following the collapse of the Mycenaean civilization.
- The Archaic Age ( BCE): A period marked by significant cultural and political developments.
Classical Greece ( BCE)
- Persian Wars ( BCE): Significant conflicts where Persia emerged as a major external challenge to Greek power in the s-s BCE.
