Dysfunction of the Nervous System
- A client that suffers from a dysfunction of the nervous system may have reduced sensation.
Dermatitis
- Dry, red, flaky skin.
- Caused by an allergy.
Impaired Sensitivity
- Someone with impaired sensitivity may have diabetes.
Contra-actions within Massage
- Examples: headaches, sickness, upset tummy.
What is Meant by a Contra Action
- A reaction that could happen during a treatment or after a treatment.
Client Feels Sick During a Massage
- Stop the treatment.
- Get them some water.
- Stay with them until they feel better.
- Make sure they are sitting up before drinking the water.
