Safeguards to Democracy

Lawlessness:

With the effects of lawlessness there are several safeguards that are in place to reduce and prevent the uprise of defiance. First of all, there are multiple laws in place that deter wrong doings. With these laws there are punishments that go along side breaking them such as fines, community service hours or even jail time. If the crime is fraudulent or done with intention the consequence becomes greater. To reduce the high number of felonies that are conducted there are legal authorities such as police officers to watch and stop the wrongdoings. If a felony is caught the court systems in place in Australia can serve a punishment that is fit for the crime. Generally, the punishment is enough to deter many from committing crimes. For those who come out of jail and are struggling with the readjustment there are programs and groups that help with readjustment which are made up of other who have experienced similar situations. Due to the high amount of adolescence committing arbitrary crimes constantly some have faced juvie time, but it has shown no effect in preventing them from continuing and reoffending later on when being let out. This creates a cycle that goes on and on which leads to greater punishments and greater crimes. Many kids have started to idolise the behaviours of the troubled adolescence and followed them down the same path. This develops a more dangerous environment for people, and it affects the right to feel safe. Because of this, legal authorities have started to direct youth interventions to deter the behaviours of adolescence by showing the consequences in the long run if going or continuing down the path of crime.
