Chapter 1: Connect The SATA
Installing the Processor
Place the heatsink on top of the processor.
Pin the heatsink to the motherboard securely.
Installing the RAM
Align the RAM module with its socket correctly.
Push down evenly on the RAM with a thumb until the black latches click into the closed position.
Connecting Heatsink and Power
Connect the heatsink connector to the heatsink socket on the motherboard.
Insert the 20/24 pin power connector into the corresponding socket on the motherboard.
Connect the 4-pin 12 volts power connector to the designated 4 P1 2 b socket.
Connecting Storage Devices
Connect the Molex to SATA connector into both the HDD and DVD writer.
Use SATA cables to connect:
SATA cable from the DVD writer to the SATA socket.
SATA cable from the HDD to its SATA socket.
Completing the Connections
Connect the VGA cable from the monitor to the VGA port on the system unit.
Plug in the power cable to the power system unit.
Disconnecting Cables
To disconnect, follow this order:
Unplug the power cable.
Unplug the VGA cable.
Disconnect the SATA cable.
Chapter 2: The SATA Connector
Disconnecting Power and Components
Unplug the power supply unit (PSU) connectors, starting with the 12 volts power connector.
Disconnect the SATA connector from the motherboard.
Unplug the 24 pin connector from the motherboard.
Remove the Random Access Memory (RAM) module from its slot.
Disconnect the fan connector from the motherboard.
Uninstall the CPU fan from the processor.
