Peripheral/Sensory System Notes - Dual Credit Anatomy & Physiology👅👂👁

The sensory system is responsible for processing environmental information through various modalities, including taste, hearing, and vision. Each sense relies on specialized receptors that convert stimuli into neural signals.

Sensory Organs are able to “sense” this information because of specialized receptors.

When a receptor is triggered, it causes an action potential in the sensory.
