Sill Diagrams

Sill (Exterior Slope) components include…

  • Exterior slope for water runoff to keep facade wall dry

  • Lower drip groove to catch the water instead of letting it run back into the wall

  • Elastomeric sealant for Elastomeric sealant is a highly flexible, rubber-like material used to bridge gaps and create a waterproof barrier in areas that experience frequent expansion and contraction

  • If the groove is not present rainwater travels unde the slab and damages the wall “seepage“

  • A drip groove or drip mould stops rainwater before it travels back under the slab and damages your wall.
