Body of Christ

This is described in the new testament. It is a term used by St Paul:

For the body itself is not made up of  only one part, but of many parts

I Corinthians

It explains why the Mass is so important for Catholics. By sharing the consecrated host at Communion, Catholics share in the Body of Christ through transubstantiation and are re-affirmed as part of Christ’s body. They are strengthened each week by the grace of this sacrament. It shows how Christians can continue the physical helping and teachings of Jesus today because they are the Body of Christ on earth. This also shows that Christ is still active in the world he came to save.

It shows how Christians can perform different tasks and yet be a unity. Each person within the church has a different talent they can used for the good of the Church in the same way that each part of the body has a different talent that is used for the good of the body.

Jesus showed forgiveness in the last moments of his life as he was put to death:

Father forgive for they do not know what they do

This is an example for all Christians and one we must follow.
