verbs and conjugation

-There are three types of verbs, AR, ER, and IR verbs.

-There are two parts to any verb, the stem(usually the first few letters of the word) and the ending, which tells you the kind of verb it is.

-The original form of any verb is called an infinitive. Once you know an infinitive you conjugate it, or change it for different use. you don’t say ‘she dance’, you say ‘she dances’, and that’s what conjugation does.

Steps for conjugation

  1. Identify the type(-ar, -er, -ir)

  2. Drop the ending or ‘type’

  3. Keep the stem

  4. Add a new ending that matches the subject
