State Agencies

State regulatory agencies exist to protect beauty professionals' and their customers' health and safety during services.

State regulatory agencies include licensing agencies, state boards, commissions, and health departments. Some examples are:

• New York Department of Motor Vehicles

• New York Department of Education

Or instead of New York, it would be the state you are in.

State agencies regulate licensing, enforcement, and your conduct when you are on the job
