  • Ester   * Has a carbonyl functional group   * C double bond to O at 1700cm-1     * higher wave bonds absorbs more   * A Sp2 at the center of C     * C-O stretch at 1200-1300cm-1   * Sp3 at CH3     * C-O at 1000-1150cm-1
  • Ether   * Sp3 on the 3rd carbon   * C double bond to O at 1000-1150cm-1
