Project Requirements

  • At Least 6 Content Slides

• Spelling and Grammar

  • Ensure proper spelling and grammar throughout the presentation.

Nutrient Selection

• Choose 5 Nutrients
  • You can select from different categories:
  • Mixture of Macronutrients and Micronutrients
    • Example: 2 macronutrients (e.g., lipids and carbohydrates) + 3 micronutrients (e.g., specific vitamins and minerals)
  • Five Vitamins or Minerals
    • Example: 2 vitamins (e.g., vitamins A and D), 2 major minerals (e.g., sodium, calcium, potassium), and 1 trace mineral (e.g., zinc).

Nutrient Content Slides

• For each selected nutrient, address the following topics:
  • Function(s) in the Body
  • Explain how the nutrient aids in bodily functions.
  • Metabolism
  • Describe where the nutrient is primarily digested, absorbed, and transported within the body.
  • Reference Daily Intake (RDI)
  • Identify the current RDI for the nutrient for an average adult, ensuring to use reliable sources.
