De: Some believe that because everyone needs a palce to live, government should provide houses for those who are too poor to afford their own. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Some individuals are of the opinion that because of the universal demand for housing, providing accomodation for individuals who can not own a personal estate should be done by the goverment. Personally, I partly/totally agree/disagree with this suggestion based on some reasons that are explained in this essay.

On the one hand, there are some major benefits when the government can help poor individuals by providing them houses. When individuals without money fail to secure an accomodation, the rate of homelessness would increase, leading to a poor condition of living and resulting in more spread of diseases. As a result, if government can provide houses for people, the conditions of public health would be secured better, benefiting not only poor individuals but all members of society as a whole.
