Catharsis - Feeling of emptiness edging on bliss fom being so invested in a story that when tragedy strikes, you are relieved
Dynamic Character - Character who changes
Static Character - Character doesnt change
Epistolar - story told through written correspondences
Exposition - explaining setting/background
Hubris - Excessive pride
Juxtaposition - comparing and contrasting
Local Color - things that tell about the setting
Malapropism - Author purposes makes a character use a similar sounding, but still wrongly used word for humor/to tell about the character
Mock Epic - taking a silly thing and telling it as if has more importance than it should
Pathetic Fallacy - Weather is imitative of emtion
