==flat/horiztonal structure-== most layers of management are cut out, close relationship between the top and the employees. more common is smaller companies. employees feel stronger sense of teamwork and autonomy.
use;

- restructuring - switching roles to better utilise everyone’s talents
- workforce planning- know details for hiring initiative
- resource planning - reduce inefficiencies by changing roles
limitations;
- become out of date quick
- only show formal relationships
- don’t reflect management style - show lines of authority but now how its used
