STANDARD OF PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

  • Replaces the 1979 UAP DOCUMENT 200 SERIES.

Introduction

  • Mandated by the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) as the Integrated and Accredited Professional Organization of Architects (IAPOA) to review the 1979 Standard of Professional Practice.

    • Group 3 EXCEPTIONAL: 7% / 4.2%

    • Group 4 RESIDENTIAL: 10% / 6%

    • Group 5 MONUMENTAL: 12% / 7.5%

    • Group 6 REPETITIVE: Percentage varies based on unit count.

GROUP 7 HOUSING FEE STRUCTURE

  • Fee structure based on the number of units:

    • 1st Unit: Specific fee rates apply.

    • 2-10 Units: Fee for 1 unit plus a percentage for each additional unit.

    • Further incremental structure for units up to and beyond 50.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

  • Organizational payment structure for architects:

    • Upon Signing: 5%

    • Schematic Design Phase: 15%

    • Design Development Phase: 20%

    • Contract Documents: 50%

    • Retention Fee: 10% (5% for Architect's Liability and 5% for Supervision/Visit)
