  7. Chester Nimitz - U.S. Admiral who led our naval victory over japan in WW2

  8. Chicano Mural Movement - Began in the 1960s; artists painted walls of schools, churches, and other buildings to spread Mexican-American culture in the southwest 

  9. Child Labor - Children began working sound the age of 7 on farms, in mills, and factories for 12-16 hrs a day for nearly no money

  10. Chinese Exclusion Act - Law passed in 1882 that banned Chinese immigration for 10 years and prevented the chinese already in the U.S from gaining citizenship 

  11. Clarence Darrow - Lawyer who defended John Scopes in the Scopes Trial in which a TN teacher was found guilty for teaching evolution 

  12. Cold War - Conflict between U.S. & USSR with no direct military engagement during 1947-1989
