How to find intersection:

  1. 2nd + trace + intersection

  2. Guess one random point below the intersection on first line

  3. Guess one random point above intersection on second line

  4. Press enter and done

How to make a table:

  1. Press y= and set y1 to a function

  2. 2nd + windows

  3. Set Indpnt to ask

  4. Keep everything else the same

  5. 2nd + graph

  6. Set x values to whatever you want and you’ll get y values

  7. Done

How to enter data to be modeled/ select model

  1. Press stat on TI-84

  2. Press edit

  3. Put x values into L1

  4. Put y values into L2

  5. Press stat

  6. Press calc

  7. For a linear regression hit the fourth option

  8. For others just click the option that matches the name of the regression you want to use

  9. Put L1 for Xlist and L2 for Ylist

  10. Store ReqEQ to Y1

    1. Alpha + trace + Y1

How to find X when given Y:

  1. Plug your function into Y1

  2. Set the given Y values to Y2

  3. Find out where they intersect

How to create a residual plot:

  1. 2nd + y=

  2. Turn plot2 on

  3. Go to Ylist

  4. 2nd + stat + select resid

  5. Press zoom + zoomstat to see the residual model when graphing

shortcut for logs: alpha + window or use math and scroll till you find it
