San Jacinto - Where the Texan Army found victory over the Mexican Troops who were led bby Santa Anna, General Sam Houston led his troops (1,000) - was credited indpendence for the Republic of Texan which later joined the United States
Santa Anna - Mexican General leading forces in the Texas Revolution and Mexican-American War - lost territory and lives in these battles/wars, sold Texas
Mexico - warring with Texas, ultimatly gave up land there was government unrest
Annexation - incorporation of some territory to another geo-policial entity: Texas declared the 28th state on 12/29/1845
