Prominent examples of monosaccharides include glucose and fructose. Glucose is a simple organic sugar that plays a central role in energy storage and cellular metabolic processes. Fructose is another key example of a simple organic monosaccharide sugar, sharing fundamental chemical and biological significance alongside glucose.
