Introduction

  • Lipids are fat-soluble (lipophilic) molecules such as fats, oils, waxes, cholesterol, fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K), and phospholipids.

Fatty Acids

Saturated Fatty Acids

  • Characterized by:

Unsaturated Fatty Acids

  • Features:

    • At least one carbon-to-carbon double bond.
