Amendments

1st- Freedom of Religion, Speech, Press, Assembly, and Petition

2nd- Right to bear arms

3rd- No quartering of soldiers

4th- Right to not have the police search you or your belongings unreasonably or without cause

5th- Right not to incriminate yourself, Right not to be charged with the same offense twice, Right to have due process

6th- Right to have a speedy criminal trial, Right to have a jury in a criminal trial, Right to have a lawyer in a criminal trial

7th- Right to trial by jury

8th- Freedom from cruel and unusual punishment

9th- Rights specifically listed in the Constitution (federal) shall not limit the rights not listed in the Constitution (state)

10th- Powers not specifically listed in the Constitution for the federal government are given to the states (power to states)

11th- The Supreme Court will not deal with cases between states and citizens of another state

12th- An electoral college will represent the citizens in voting for the president

13th- Abolition of slavery

14th- All people are citizens, regardless of race

15th- All (male) citizens can vote, regardless of race or former slave status

16th- There will now be federal taxes on income

17th- Senators are elected to six-year terms by popular vote in their respective states

18th- Making, selling, transporting, importing or exporting alcohol is illegal

19th- women can vote

20th- Executive and legislative terms end on a specific day and at a specific time

21st- The 18th amendment, prohibiting alcohol, is repealed

22nd- Presidents can only serve two (four-year) terms

23rd- Citizens in the District of Columbia can vote for president

24th- There cannot be a poll tax

25th- If a president is removed, dies or resigns, the vice president becomes president

26th- The voting age is lowered to eighteen

27th- Any salary changes for congress don't take effect until the next term
