Information Technology may be defined as the technology that is used to acquire, store, organize, process and disseminate processed data which can be used in specified applications.

Types of Data

Text Data should be able to be read into a computer to process them and display and distribute the results of processing to the outside world.

Image Data are of two types: line drawing or photograph which will require storage and processing.

Audio Data such as music and speech by us everyday which will need processing.

Video Data consists of a sequence of still pictures that are projected in rapid succession. It is often synchronized with audio data as in a motion picture.
