A (Odd/Eccentric)

Paranoid Personality Disorder

Distrust and suspicion of others, interpreting motives as malevolent. Preoccupied with doubts about loyalty, reluctant to confide in others.

Schizoid Personality Disorder

Detachment from social relationships, limited emotional expression, prefers solitude, indifferent to praise or criticism.

Schizotypal Personality Disorder

Acute discomfort in relationships, cognitive/perceptual distortions, eccentric behavior, odd beliefs or magical thinking, unusual perceptual experiences.

B (Dramatic/Emotional/Erratic)

Antisocial Personality Disorder

Disregard for others' rights, deceitfulness, impulsivity, irritability, aggression, lack of remorse. Must be 18+ with conduct disorder before age 15.

Borderline Personality Disorder

Instability in relationships, self-image, and affect; impulsivity, fear of abandonment, recurrent suicidal behavior, intense anger, chronic emptiness.

Histrionic Personality Disorder

Excessive emotionality and attention-seeking; uncomfortable when not center of attention, uses physical appearance to draw attention, shallow emotions.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder

Grandiosity, need for admiration, lack of empathy; sense of entitlement, exploitation of others, arrogant behavior.

C (Anxious/Fearful)

Avoidant Personality Disorder

Social inhibition, feelings of inadequacy, hypersensitivity to negative evaluation; avoids interpersonal contact unless certain of being liked.

Dependent Personality Disorder

Excessive need to be cared for, submissive, clinging behavior, fear of separation, difficulty making decisions without advice or reassurance.

Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder

Preoccupation with orderliness, perfectionism, and control at the expense of flexibility and efficiency; rigid and stubborn, overly devoted to work.
