How to use venir (and other verbs i have to know)

Past participle: venu, etre

When given a sentence in passe compose, get rid of the helping verb, put conjugated venir, add ‘de’, and change the action verb into and infinitive. This makes it present tense (passe recent)

EXAMPLE:

• Nous avons dine au restaurant → Nous venons de diner au restaurant.

Other -ir verbs

• Verbs that contain “venir” are congugated the same as venir, and with etre
• Verbs that contain “tenir” are conjugated the same as tenir, and with avoir

devenir (to become):

Je deviens
