Shankarabharanam

  • In history, this was called as Ranjani, a Nishada Murchana in the Sadja Grana. In its formation, one may be observed as bith sadja-Panchama and Sadja-MadhyamaSamvadi dvandva combinations.This is the fundamental raga in which a beginner starts his lessons in the Hindustani style of music. This is a Major Diatonic scale in Western style of Music.
