Incomplete dominance

• Intermediate phenotype if heterozygous

Complete dominance

• 2 alleles expressed at the same time

Roan

• A mix of pink and red alleles creating a pinkish mix

Heterozygous Advantage

Sickle cell anemia

• “C” shaped red blood cells

• Do not transport oxygen properly (can’t fit though small blood vessels)

• Blockages and tissue damage

• Codominance

• Malaria resistant (prevents parasites from infecting the cells)
