Beyond the Meal Plan
Exposure Therapy
This is a behavioral therapy rooted in CBT that helps people confront their fears.
If you’re scared or anxious about something, you likely avoid it as well. Exposure therapy creates a safe environment to expose you to the things that you’re scared of. The premise of this therapy is that less avoidance = less fear.
Group Therapy
This is therapy delivered in a small group setting. This can be incredibly helpful to connect with others who are experiencing similar challenges. This is done on its own or also in combination with individual therapy.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy).
This is bilateral eye movements and the diminishing or desensitization of anxiety. Essentially, the premise of this type of therapy is rapid eye movement for desensitizing anxiety and reprocessing that trauma.
Ketamine Therapy
This is a psychedelic and a hallucinogen that can change perception. In 2019, it was classified and FDA approved to treat major depressive depressive disorder. The goal with this therapy is to promote healing and give yourself deeper access to your self. It strips away defenses and gives the client the safety to dig deep without shame.
