Odessey part 1
Sailing from Troy: Odysseus and his men are sailing from the island of Calypso to go back the Greek island of Ithaca. He and his men travel to the coast of Cicones, where his men kill plenty of other men, and attempt to enslave the women and children. This starts Odysseus's dark path angering many of the Gods, who actually were in his favor.
The Lotus Eaters: Odysseus and his men encounter an island full of people known as "The Lotus Eaters". Odysseus sends some of his men to scout the place to check for anything suspicious. They eat the Lotus flowers and then start acting like they don't want to leave the island. Odysseus ties them to the ship and gathers his men back to tell them not to eat the Lotus flowers. They then escape the island and go on their journey, once again.
The Cyclopes: Odysseus and his men once again are blown off course, and encounter the land of the Cyclopes, and Odysseus takes his twelve best men with him to one of the Cyclopes's houses. They entered unnoticed for a minute, until the one eyed beast saw them. The cyclops questioned what they were doing his home, and Odysseus tells him of the custom of hospitality they have in Greece. The Cyclops tells them that he won't let them stay, no matter the fact of hospitality, but Odysseus has a trick up his sleeve. He offers the Cyclops some of the finest wine the Greeks have, and the beast drinks it, saying he likes it. Unfortunately, they do not have more, so the Cyclops eats of the men. After this, it falls asleep, and Odysseus and his men stab the Cyclops in the eye. The Cyclops screams from pain, and Odysseus and the rest of his men escape by holding up his sheep, to make him think that he was touching sheep, not the humans.
The Land of the Dead: Odysseus and his men go to Hades, to find Tiresias to find their way back to Ithaca. He tells Odysseus that Poseidon is angry with him, because he stabbed his son (the cyclops) .
The Sirens: Odysseus goes back to Circe's island to bury the soldier he saw in Hades, and goes to Circe for some advice of how to get back to Ithaca. She tells him of the sirens, monsters who sing a song to lure in sailors to only destroy their ship. Odysseus heeds this warning, and he comes up with a plan. He puts wax in everyone's ears, including his own, to cancel out the song of the sirens. They escape the song, and keep back on their journey.
Scylla and Charbybdis: Odysseus and his men continue sailing, and run into Scylla, the sea monster. After getting some of his men slaughtered, Odysseus and the rest of his men escape Scylla. They then run into Charbybdis, the whirlpool. The most of his men die, and they escape.
Cattle of Helios: Odysseus and the remaining of his men travel on, after a month of terrible winds, the men grew hungry. The men sneak off to the island to kill the cattle. Helios is angry, and tells Zeus to destroy them. Zeus tells him to calm down, and says he will send a single bolt of lightning. Zeus destroys the boat, and only Odysseus manages to survive because he's the only person who can swim.
