Overview

  • Infectious agents are transmitted from natural reservoirs to susceptible hosts.

Classifications (DI)

  1. Direct Transmission (CD)

    • Contact: Transfer through direct physical contact.

    • Droplet Spread: Transfer via small droplets during activities like coughing or sneezing.

  2. Indirect Transmission (AVV)

    • Airborne: Transfer through suspended air particles.

    • Vehicle Borne: Transfer via inanimate objects (vehicles).

    • Vector Borne: Transfer through animate intermediaries (vectors).
