3A. Problem one of many: species are intuitively similar (one), but appear to be different (many).
Essence: concept, idea, function, identity of a thing what something is.
Existence: in essence brought in the state of being.A being as it is.
Matter: (1.) Possible mode of reception within a being which determines a being's nature. (2.)Material/physical part of a being.
Term: (1.) The active unifying in ordering principle of a being. (2.) Intelligible pattern found within a being.
3B: the form does not exist in matter, rather matter and form exist in different realms and matter is a “copy” of form
3C: Duelist because BC affirms the existence of both matter and form. This solves the problem of the one or many by explaining the fact that species are intuitively similar by reference in the existence of form and yet different because of matter, which is the copy of forms and is organized differently by terms.
